Chantal Blakely & Katelynn Nangle

From their Grade 2 class at Monsignor Michael O’Leary to the halls of St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School, Chantal and Katelynn have an undeniable bond.

Their passion for the arts was evident during their years at St. Dominic. Their art teacher, Miss Kidd, encouraged the girls to express themselves through various mediums. This led the girls to Canadore College, where they both studied graphic design and pursued careers in the field after graduation.

In 2021, Chantal and Katelynn embarked on a new adventure - into the podcast world. Their Book Club Babes podcast was born from their love of reading and passing books back and forth. The podcast is a place where eager readers can come together and discuss the book of the month. Their podcast has over 140 episodes and 5-star reviews.

The fellowship aspect of a Catholic education has served them well. Relationships formed with classmates, teachers, and the broader Catholic community have provided them with support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging – which they’ve discovered to be valuable skills within their podcast community.
