Graduated 2010

Recipient of the University of Waterloo’s President’s Scholarship of Distinction and registered pharmacist in Brantford.

Lisa Harrington left her mark on the graduating class of 2010 at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School having achieved a number of awards and scholarships, including the Patrick Fogarty Award for Excellence in Physics, the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Reid Family Scholarship, the Drs. Sterling & MacGregor Health Sciences Award, and the Canadian Federation of University Women Scholarship.

It’s no surprise that her high academic achievement was also recognized by the University of Waterloo, where she received their President’s Scholarship of Distinction, as well as the Kay & Harry MacLeod Chemistry Entrance Scholarship. Lisa enrolled in the University of Waterloo’s Honours Science program, with the goal of one day becoming a pharmacist.

In 2013, during her third year in the science program, this dream was realized when she accepted an early-admission to the University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy. During her time in this four-year program, she gained academic experience as well as clinical skills through co-op placements and clinical rotations at the Renal Department at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and Couchiching Family Health Team. Upon graduating, she earned a double-degree: a Bachelor of Science, as well as a Doctor of Pharmacy, and graduated on the Dean’s Honour list.

In December 2017, she became a Registered Pharmacist and quickly landed a position with the Sobeys National Pharmacy Group as a staff pharmacist at one of their retail locations. Lisa is currently a registered pharmacist in Brantford.
