Michelle’s success has been shaped by mentorship—from her high school days, when she earned the City of Barrie’s Young Female Business Award, to her leadership role in the pharmaceutical industry. Now, she’s committed to mentoring the next generation, just as others once did for her.
Michelle’s journey to success has always been shaped by the people around her - mentors who believed in her and encouraged her to move forward. “The pathway to success is lined with the hands of people pulling you forward - find those people,” she says. That lesson started early when she was a student at St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School in Barrie. With the support of her business teacher, Ms. Barban, Michelle thrived, earning the City of Barrie’s Young Female Business Award and discovering her passion for leadership.
After high school, she earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business in 2016. From there, she dove into the pharmaceutical industry, taking on roles in vaccine supply chain management at Sanofi Pasteur before moving into project management at SteriMax Inc. Now, as an Associate Director at SteriMax, she leads a team bringing new sterile injectable products to market, helping improve healthcare for Canadians.
Through it all, mentorship has remained a driving force in Michelle’s life. Just as others have guided her, she now mentors young professionals, including speaking to intern groups at McMaster. For Michelle, leadership isn’t just about success - it’s about making a meaningful impact on others, just as her mentors did for her.
