Carolyn Glatt

St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School

Graduated 2002

Registered physiotherapist, training with professional and semi-professional athletes

After graduating from St. Peter’s Catholic S.S. in 2002, Carolyn continued her education at St. Francis Xavier University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology in 2007. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in the Netherlands at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and graduated in 2012. During her time in Europe, Carolyn was able to gain valuable experience working with semi-professional and professional athletes and their medical teams.

Carolyn is now a Registered Physiotherapist in Ontario and has continued to advance her skills through various professional development courses. She has obtained additional certifications in vestibular therapy and concussion management and is also certified in Medical Acupuncture and intensive Advanced Craniosacral Therapy.

Carolyn has focused her rehabilitation philosophy on concussion, and vestibular based therapies, as well as sports injury rehab. She is currently completing her graduate studies at McMaster University in Rehabilitation studies. Despite a demanding career, she continues to volunteer her time with semi-professional and professional athletes in order to improve her skills and give back to Canadian sports.

Carolyn credits her education at St. Peter’s as a pinnacle step in her success. She says, “Catholic education gave me the confidence to pursue a higher education; the background to strive for academic achievement; and the moral responsibility to follow a career path that improves the well-being of others”. She hopes to provide the same guidance to future students through co-op opportunities and advice to graduating classes.
