Upon graduation, Denise pursued post-secondary education at Laurentian University in Sudbury, where she graduated with a degree in biomedical sciences. A highlight at university was working under the supervision of the Chair of Cancer Research Dr. Amadeo Parissenti to develop a thesis on breast cancer.

After university, Denise pursued philanthropy and world travels via pageantry. In 2010, with the title of Miss World Canada, Denise represented our country at Miss World held in Sanya, China. She was a top 25 semi-finalist. As Miss World Canada, Denise worked with many charities, with a particular focus on children’s organizations.

She speaks fondly of her years at high school, “so many positive relationships were developed during my years at Holy Trinity . . . my successes are only so because of the nurturing I received from the excellent staff at the school both then and now.”
