Singer-songwriter Dominique Way, a St. Peter’s graduate, has signed with Cult Nation Records and is building a music career while inspiring younger students to pursue their gifts.
Music has always been part of Dominique’s life, even when she was too shy to step into the spotlight.
Dominique attended Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School before graduating from St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School in 2018. As a student, she spent many hours in the school band, quietly building her confidence while developing her talent as a pianist and musician.
After graduation, Dominique chose to pursue her passion for music. She enrolled in college to study the craft of songwriting and performance, gradually finding her voice as an artist. Today, she is a singer-songwriter who has signed a recording deal with Cult Nation Records and continues to grow her career in the music industry.
Her first body of work, Sprig, reflects both her personal journey and her love of storytelling through music. “Sprig is the sprout of my developing and ever-growing musical journey,” Dominique explains. “When people listen to it, I hope they recognize a familiarity and are welcomed into the music with open arms.”
Despite her growing success, Dominique remains closely connected to the community that helped shape her. She recently returned to Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School to perform for Grade 8 students and speak about faith, kindness, and the importance of pursuing one’s dreams.
Her message was simple: be a good person first, and let your gifts grow from there.
