The town of Bradford West Gwillimbury didn’t offer much in the way of community theatre when Scott was growing up and calling it home. Yet the desire to entertain remained strong for this 2005 graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Thankfully he had teachers who allowed him to make videos and skits instead of written projects, even for science classes!
With graduation approaching, Scott applied for many science programs at University, and one theatre school. When the Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting program at the University of Windsor wasn’t quite what he was looking for, Scott reverted again to “plan B” and transferred to York University, to study psychology and neuroscience.
But the acting bug wouldn’t let go. Scott found a talent agent, began picking up small roles, taking weekend workshops and learning all he could about acting and the business of acting. He landed a supporting role in a feature film, shooting in Windsor of all places, and that is where he met new friend and mentor, Canadian actor Tom Cavanagh.
While it hasn’t always been easy, Scott now has a career in acting, writing and producing that he can be proud of. He has starred in movies on Netflix, Amazon and Hulu and in critically acclaimed television series on networks and streaming services around the globe. He’s even filmed not once, but twice, just down the road from his former high school! Scott will never forget how blessed he is to be able to entertain people and for the past encouragement of his high school teachers.
